The pre-registration form can be done by filling in the pre-registration form attached to
the invitation letter
 and returning this form to
the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT)

Pre-registration is needed for all participants to finalize hotel
reservations, visa processing and other necessary
arrangements.

| The registration counter will be set up in the foyer of the MELIÁ Hanoi Hotel meeting hall commencing at 08:00 hours on 28 August 2007.
Pre-registration is required (Deadline 15 July). See details
above.
Once you have completed the pre-registration, you will be contacted with
further information regarding your registration at the meeting venue in Hanoi.

| For the convenience of the participants, it is recommended to stay in
Meliá Hanoi Hotel. Room reservations should be made through the Vietnam Computer Emergency Response Team (VNCERT) to get special rates and benefits.

Immigration Requirements |
| Prior entry visa is not required for some
countries, in accordance to the bilateral agreements between Vietnam and those
countries.
For information on entry visas to Vietnam, meeting participants are kindly
requested to contact the Vietnam's Diplomatic/Mission in their country before travelling.
N.B. The Vietnam Secretariat will issue an invitation letter for the visa
application of participant on the receipt of the Pre-registration Form.

Banks and Currency |
|
The legal tender of Vietnam is the Dong (VND). For money changing, banks and money changes are conveniently located around the city and at the airport, as well as at major hotels.
(1 US$ is approximately equal to Dong 16,036).
Major banks are open from 9 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., Monday to
Friday. All major credit cards are welcome including VISA,
MASTERCARD and AMEX.

Weather |
The time convening the workshop is in summer in Viet Nam.
During August the average temperature varies from 27 to 34
degrees Celsius.
|
Food |
A wide range of choices in the food/diet from Asian style to
Western style is available in hotel restaurants,
food-courts. The local cuisine is excellent for different
tastes.

Language |
The official language is Vietnamese, but most people
in the central area of the City can use English and
French.

Insurance |
Due to procedural difficulties and budgetary
constraints, ITU is not able to bear the cost of
insurance for the participants, any medical expenses or
any other expenses. ITU therefore requests your
Administrations/organizations to kindly make necessary
arrangements for insurance and medical coverage of your
participants before travel.

Airport Tax |
Airport Tax amounting to 14USD is to be paid at the
time of departure.
|
Transportation from Airport |
|
For your general information:
The airport taxi is available from Noi Bai International
Airport to the Hotel. The fare is from 150,000 VND to
200,000 VND.
The mini bus is available from Noi Bai International
Airport to the No 1 Quang Trung Street (about 250 m to Meliá
Hanoi Hotel). The fare is only 22,000 VND.
