ITU GLOBAL VIEW (Beta)

ITU is working with Microsoft and IDV Solutions to create a global view of telecommunications development. ITU Global View, an online mapping application to track and help accelerate the implementation of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS) goals, provides decision makers and stakeholders with a comprehensive view of current telecommunications infrastructure, projects, and statistics. A Beta (test) version of ITU Global View was launched on 11 May at ITU TELECOM Africa 2008 in Cairo, Egypt as part of the Connect Africa portal.

The Global View visualization is hosted and maintained by ITU. It is open to all stakeholders and allows users to check status, identify gaps and avoid overlap in collaborative efforts to implement new initiatives and achieve project goals.
