Registration
Information
Pre-registration is highly recommended
for all participants in order to avoid delays upon arrival at the
ITU CIS Events badging desk.
Pre-registration service is carried out exclusively online from
17 September to 27 November 2009.
The
Designated focal point DFPs* (TIES proctected) are
requested to use this
online pre-registration service .

Pre-registration for participants will be conducted by the ITU
CIS Events Registration Service on the basis of
information provided through the designated focal points (DFPs).
To designate a focal point for participation, an official
request should be submitted to the ITU CIS Events Registration
Service (Fax +41 22 730 66 75), providing contact details
First Name, Last Name and E-mail address..
On 17 September 2009, DFPs will
receive a username and password allowing them to effect online
pre-registration.
There is no registration fee for the
ITU CIS Events.
Pre-Registration confirmation letter
The DFP and each pre-registered
participant will receive a confirmation letter, by email, within
three working days of receipt of completed pre-registration forms.
Pre-registered participants must present this confirmation letter
to the ITU CIS Events registration desk in Minsk together with some
form of photo identification (passport, ID card), in order to
receive an official ITU CIS Events badge. The confirmation
letter can also be used as a supporting document to apply for a visa
to Minsk (see information on visa request below).
On-site registration and badging
The
ITU CIS Events registration service will be located in the reception
hall of the National Library in Minsk, opening hours as follows:
Those participants who have not pre-registered will be required to
present official proof of representation, i.e. letter of credentials
or registration form, duly signed by Designated Focal Point for
participation.
To enter Belarus, a passport and visa are required. A visa
can be obtained by applying to the Embassy or Consulate
representing Belarus in your country or, if there is no such
office in your country, to the one that is closest to the
country of departure or at the Minsk International Airport
upon arrival.

The best time
to apply for a visa is two weeks before departure.
To obtain a
Belarusian visa, you should prepare:
1) a letter of invitation (original or copy) from the
organizers of the CIS Events.
2) A valid original passport or travel document with at
least one blank page available for the visa. The passport
must be valid not less than 90 days beyond the date of
planned departure from Belarus.
3) Duly completed visa application form. The visa
application form should be filled out in legible handwriting
or typing and bear the original signature of the applicant.

4) One recent passport-sized (45mm x 35mm) colour
photograph of the applicant, which should be glued or
stapled to the marked space at the upper right-hand corner
of the application form. Please note that the photograph
must not be stapled over the facial area.
