- We
attach a chart of visa requirements applicable to official delegates
and guests attending the Regional
Preparatory Meeting for the Americas Region,
especially those that require a visa for Colombia, according to the
chart attached.
-
The
Government has taken steps to provide appropriate facilities for the
visits of delegates from ITU Member-Countries and other
international guests, especially those who require visas.
-
The
intention is to give Courtesy Visas to those from countries that
require a visa to enter Colombia, as accredited official delegates
or guests attending the
Regional
Preparatory Meeting for the Americas Region,
to be held in Santa Marta, Colombia, on September 9-11.
-
The
visa may be applied for at any Colombian Consulate or Embassy,
regardless of whether the applicant is in the country of which he is
a national or not.
-
On
the occasion of this ITU Meeting, and only for exceptional cases, if
for some reason a national of a country whose citizens need a visa
for Colombia does not have the visa but
can
show that he is an official delegate
to attend the
Americas
Regional Preparatory Meeting, the Government will guarantee entry,
and the delegate or guest will be able to obtain the visa at the
event, in Bogotá D.C.
-
For
these exceptional cases, the participant must send to
Mr.
Eufracio Morales,
Visa Coordination Adviser in the Foreign Ministry
(eufracio.morales@cancilleria.gov.co)
the following:
1)
copy of the main page of current passport showing photo, name,
Passport No., date and place of birth, date of issue of passport,
etc.;
2)
travel schedule; and
3)
ITU letter invitation.
-
Citizens
of other countries who do not require a visa will enter Colombia
following the normal migration procedures, and the migration
authority DAS will record movements for a "Permit to enter and
stay in Colombia as a temporary visitor". The Permit will be
stamped in the visitor's passport upon entry.
Those
who need a Courtesy Visa should provide the following documents:
1.
Valid passport
2.
Application form (attached)
3.
Two recent color photos (light background)
4.
Note requesting the visa, accreditation or invitation to this ITU
event.
In
the table that follows:

diplomatic and official passports.
(**)

Foreign Ministry authorization in advance to issue a visa to a
