ITU-TRAI INTERNATIONAL TRAINING PROGRAMME (ITP 2012) |

The Telecommunication Development Bureau (BDT) of the International Telecommunication Union (ITU)
and the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) are jointly organizing the
“ITU/TRAI
International Training Programme (ITP) for 2012", from 2-4 April 2012, which will be held at The Westin Hyderabad Mindspace, Hyderabad, India.
ITU-TRAI International Training Programme (ITP), 2-4 April 2012: ITP 2012, supported by the Korean
Communications Commission (KCC) and ITU, aims to provide a comprehensive overview and insight into India’s contemporary regulatory
environment, with a focus on the implications and challenges of convergence to embrace broadband. The program is designed for middle and
senior managers from governments across the Asia-Pacific region, and offers participants the opportunity to learn, discuss, debate and
exchange ideas with communications experts and professionals from India and abroad. This year’s program is focused on
Regulating Broadband
in the Era of Convergence.
The ITP 2012 will be conducted in English only. Online ‘expression of interest’ form and general information
about the ITP 2012 is available at http://www.trai.gov.in/itp.asp. Please register your
interest as soon as possible but not later than 1 March 2012.
Regarding countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, ITU is pleased to inform you that we will provide one full fellowship
to one participant duly authorized by the respective ITU Administrations from Least Developed Countries, and daily subsistence allowance
(DSA) to one participant from Low-Income Developing Countries, subject to available budget and for full participation at this training
program and the roundtable. The last date for fellowship application is
1 March 2012.
