ITU Regional Cybersecurity Centre
by Oman National CERT and in coordination with ITU-IMPACT will be
hosting its first cyber drill for the Arab region as one of the key
deliverables under the center. The drill exposes participants from
the national Computer Emergency Response Teams (CERTs) to various
scenarios based on case studies and real-life situations, which
provides them with an opportunity to test their skills and knowledge
in responding to such attacks.
The exercise aims to enhance
readiness and capabilities of regional CERTs to better respond to
cyber threats as well as to strengthen regional networking,
communication, and cooperation procedures for a successful and
continuous collaboration. With this in mind, the drill is structured
around various scenarios involving the most common types of
cyber-attacks whilst the workshop provides a platform for
cooperation, information sharing, and discussions on cybersecurity.
