Public Transport

Because Hong Kong is so compact, getting around is quite easy. Fleets of taxis, buses, trams, harbour ferries, complemented by the Mass Transit Railway (MTR) underground system, will enable exhibitors to travel between their hotels, the HKCEC and other venues in the city, safely and conveniently.

Taxis

Metered taxis are reasonable and there are large signs by the taxi ranks giving sample fares. Rates start at HK$15.00 on flag fall (first two km) plus HK$1.40 every further 250 m. Pay in HK$ only the fare shown on the meter plus any additional charges when applicable (e.g. luggage, tunnel tolls). Hong Kong Island passengers have to pay the two-way Cross-Harbour tunnel toll. And all passengers pay an extra fee per piece of luggage (charges are displayed in the taxi).
