The TELECOM Forum Team is pleased to welcome you to the official web pages of the
TELECOM Asia 2000 Forum, 5th Regional ITU TELECOM event held in the
Asia-Pacific Region and hosted by the Government of the People’s Republic of China,
in Hong Kong from 4 to 9 December 2000.
The ITU TELECOM Forum is the only place in the world where so many people ranked at the
highest levels in their respective companies or governments can meet each other under one
roof to shape the future of the telecoms industry. CEOs, government ministers, policy
makers, regulators, financiers and technical specialists will use the Forum at Asia 2000
to define what is possible and what must be done in real terms to achieve the development
of our industry in the Asia Pacific region.
While it is now too late to submit any proposal for inclusion in the TELECOM Asia 2000
programme, since the deadline for Submission of abstracts was 10 March 2000, you might be
interested in knowing how
to be selected for some of our future events. The Call for Speakers
will give you relevant information on the Forum topics and Summits.
Please note that the full
Forum
Programme
as well as the on-line Delegate Registration Form
are available
on this website as from end-August 2000.
For the
first time in the Forum, in addition to the on-site delegates, we are
pleased to announce the participation of the Forum
remote sites. We are also opening up the possibility for active
participation to the general public through our Interactive
E-Forum.
If you consider that some
information you might need is missing, don’t hesitate to contact the TELECOM Forum Team. We will be
delighted to answer your questions directly and to update this site according to your
needs.
